Thinking spring is about as Minnesotan as you can get, even though
the month of March can pack quite a wallop in the snow and cold
department. Why, in years gone by there was even a tradition of
blizzards that occurred during the state basketball tournaments.
That, of course, took place in the days when we still had a real,
full-fledged Minnesota winter.
Nowadays, winters just don’t seem so bad. Snowfalls are much less and temperatures more moderate. Of course, if we jinx us all by writing this, we apologize in advance. But keep in mind that no matter how severe our March weather is, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
April promises spring showers and milder temperatures and all of the
flowers and greenery that will follow. And, while we all can be
fooled by April’s weather from time to time, we know that by May,
winter will be a distant memory.
We hope you enjoy this issue of the magazine, the beginning of our
fifth year of publishing. The time has flown by and thanks to you
readers, the magazine has grown in circulation. We couldn’t have done
it without you.
