Welcome to our winter issue Welcome to our winter issue

You’ll notice a couple new features in this edition of Minnesota Moments.
We are happy to present our new “Neighbors” section. We thought it would be fun for our readers to share information about themselves and their hometowns. It also will allow Minnesota Moments to expand the geographic area we cover.

If you’d like to become a “neighbor,” simply e-mail me information you think would be newsworthy at info@minnesotamoments.com. I’ll do my best to include it in a future issue of the magazine. And, the more you can spread the word about Minnesota Moments to your neighbors and friends, the better.

We also are pleased to welcome Andrew Ries’ crossword puzzle to this magazine. Ries, a St. Cloud State University graduate, has published a book of crossword puzzles and specializes in Minnesota-themed puzzles.

The edition you are holding in your hands is the completion of Minnesota Moments’ sixth year of publication. It seems like just yesterday that the first copies of the magazine were being circulated.
As this publication embarks on year No. 7, I am appreciative of all of those who have helped me reach this milestone.
The readers have been tremendous. Thank you for subscribing and renewing those subscriptions and introducing the magazine to family and friends through gift subscriptions. Thanks for your word-of-mouth endorsements and the letters you’ve written. Thanks also to our advertisers — those who supported us in the beginning and those who still support us. It’s not easy in this economy to sell advertising, and we appreciate every business that has supported us. I hope all of our subscribers will note those businesses that are advertising with us and support them as well.

Lastly, thanks to all of you who contribute to Minnesota Moments, whether it is in your writing, through your photographs or simply through your words of encouragement, this publication would not exist without you.

Here’s to a happy and prosperous 2010.

Enjoy!
