March/April 08 Issue CoverAs you can tell from our cover photo, we at Minnesota Moments have decided to honor communities in Minnesota that are great places to live, work and visit.

We hope to make this salute a yearly event. If you know of a town that is special, we’d like to hear about it. Send us an e-mail (info@minnesotamoments.com) or letter (P.O. Box 436, Cold Spring, MN 56320) and tell us what town we should consider for our salute next year and why.

The ingredients that make a town special are many. There are special people, wonderful business opportunities, fun things to do and see, great places to play and relax, a strong foundation and a sense of community pride and togetherness.

If you live in a town like that, you’re fortunate. Share it with us so we can share it with our readers.

Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy this issue of Minnesota Moments. Besides the feature story on Cold Spring, there are several interesting stories to read, including essays from some of our loyal readers.

We are amazed by the number of wonderful writers who send us items to publish. If you are a person who writes and would like to submit something for publication, by all means do so. We get many submissions and can’t print them all, but we do appreciate receiving them.

Lastly, we want to point out the wonderful work that photographer Stuart Goldschen has done not only in this issue but in past issues as well. Stuart is a talented writer and photographer and we are lucky to have him working with us. The passion he has for his craft is evident in his work.

Have a safe, enjoyable summer.
